The function of the track idler is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound.

Additionally, the track idler and track adjuster work together to maintain a specific level of track tension. The most controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct tension of the chain.

The same machine with a suggested deflection of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tight track increases pressure, leading to greater wear on the track bushings at the point of contact with the sprocket teeth and in the contact between the chain, track idler, and rollers.

The hardness of the tread equal to or greater than that of the chain links, track rollers, and carrier rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability.

Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lubrication for the entire service life to minimize maintenance.
