Functionality of ITR Tensioner Wheels
Tensioner wheels are a key element in maintaining proper tension and guiding of the track chain, which translates into correct winding. They work in conjunction with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, significantly impacts machine wear and performance. For example, an overly tight chain can lead to greater wear of the track bushing and sprocket teeth. Appropriate tread hardness, equal to or greater than the chain links and travel and support rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
