ITR Tensioning Wheel for KOMATSU PC28 UU
They are manufactured from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Tensioning wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced in compliance with the industry's most stringent specifications. Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it to be properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a certain degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is correct chain tension. The correct deflection for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a 12mm deflection will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured in the track tensioner. The same machine with a suggested deflection of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tensioned track increases pressure, which causes greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. Tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, running rollers, and support ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
