They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced according to the most stringent specifications in the industry. Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Additionally, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is the correct tension of the chain. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track in a machine with an 80-horsepower engine with a sag of 12mm will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with the recommended sag of 50 mm will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tense track increases pressure, causing greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the sprocket teeth and in the chain-tensioning wheel-roller contact. The tread hardness equal to or greater than that of the chain links, drive and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Material type: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
