They are made from selected high-quality steel alloys and properly heat-treated to ensure exceptional field performance in extreme working conditions. Idler wheels ITR are assembled using state-of-the-art seals and bearing designs, produced according to the most stringent specifications in the industry. The range of tensioning wheels includes equipment from mini excavators to mining machinery from KUBOTA® K008 (machine operating weight 0.9 tons) to KOMATSU® D475 A5 (machine operating weight 101 tons). Functionality of ITR Tensioning Wheels
The function of the tensioning wheel is to support the track chain and guide it so that it is properly wound. Besides, the tensioning wheel and tensioner work together to maintain a specified degree of track tension. The most important controllable factor in undercarriage wear is correct chain tension. The correct sag for all conventional tracks is about 50mm (+-5mm). For example, a track on an 80-horsepower machine with a 12mm sag will have a tension value of 2540 kg when measured at the track tensioner. The same machine with the recommended 50mm sag will have a tension value of 362 kg. An excessively tense track increases pressure, causing greater wear on the track bushings when in contact with the drive sprocket teeth and in the chain-tension wheel-roller contact. The tread hardness equal to or greater than the chain links, drive rollers, and support rollers ensures impact resistance and balanced durability. Type of material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Lifetime lubrication to minimize maintenance.
