Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Idler wheels are a key element in maintaining proper track tension and guiding, which translates into its proper winding. They work with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for undercarriage durability. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on machine wear and performance. For example, an overly tight chain can lead to greater wear of the track bushing and drive sprocket teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the chain links and carrier and supporting rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Continuous lubrication helps minimize maintenance during operation.
