Functionality of ITR Tension Wheels
Tension Wheels are a key element in maintaining proper tension and guiding the track chain, which ensures its correct winding. They work with the tensioner to maintain optimal tension, which is crucial for the durability of the undercarriage. Correct tension setting, e.g., 50 mm (+-5mm) for conventional tracks, has a significant impact on the wear and efficiency of the machine. For example, an overly tight chain can lead to increased wear on the track bushings and drive wheel teeth. The appropriate hardness of the tread, equal to or greater than the chain links and support and carrier rollers, ensures resistance to damage and increases durability. Material: SCMn3A, hardening 50-55 HRC. Constant lubrication contributes to minimizing maintenance during operation.
